Pre-Cana

Congratulations on your decision to marry in the Catholic Church!  Pre-Cana Web picture edited

St. Joan of Arc offers a Pre-Cana program twice a year, using various presentation styles in order to aid in the preparation of couples for the Sacrament of Marriage.  Our program is led by the Pre-Cana Team, which is made up of our Pastor, Monsignor Rich LaVerghetta, a deacon and faith-filled married couples from our parish who include their love of Christ in their daily married life.  Throughout the program, many topics and discussions will take place on subjects such as communication, listening, family, conflict resolution skills, intimacy, finance, couple prayer, spirituality, conscience formation and more.

Pre-Cana is a program that engaged couples must undergo before they can be married in a Catholic Church. The name Pre-Cana is derived from John 2 1-12, the wedding feast at Cana in Galilee, where Jesus performed the miracle of turning water into wine
