Women of Faith, February 12th

Let The Holy Spirit Kick-Start Your Lent!

The Women of Faith Ministry will meet on February 12 at 6:45 p.m. in Pedata Hall, as we prepare for our Lenten journey together, guided and strengthened by the Holy Spirit, and encouraged by each other.  Our own Gina Diorio Montgomery will share how the Holy Spirit’s Gift of Fortitude has upheld her family through joy and sorrow.  Our meetings begin with fellowship and light refreshments at 6:45 p.m., so that our speakers can begin promptly at 7 p.m. and our meetings can conclude right at 8:30 p.m.  Come join us this month to kick-start your Lent and enjoy time with other women from our parish!  Registration is not required, and all women are encouraged to attend any or all of our meetings and bring friends!  If you would like to receive notice through email of future meetings, please feel free to fill out our registration form, which can be found in the church lobby or on the parish website under “Women of Faith.”

Please contact Kathy Burns at (609) 923-7222 or kathleensburns@aol.com for more information.

  • Opportunity for Growth
  • Sharing Experiences and Learning from Others
  • Exploring Spirituality
  • Fellowship & Friendship
  • FUN!!!

In September of 2008, our group began as the Ministry of Mothers Sharing (MOMS), inspired by a mother’s group hosted at other local churches.  After twenty-five of our members attended the Women of Faith conference in Philadelphia several years ago and witnessed the strong bonds of friendship and support which developed in that setting, we changed our name and broadened the mission of our group to invite ALL the women of the parish to come together to explore their spirituality, to enjoy the fellowship of other women, and to learn about the many ways others have found to live out their faith every day.

The goal of the Women of Faith Ministry is to give women a comfortable place to share their experiences and encourage one another in developing the kind of faith which nurtures us through the difficult times and supports us in our daily efforts to fulfill the many demands life places on us.  The group includes women who are strong in their faith, women who are struggling with their faith, and women who don’t have time in their normal day to ponder their faith at all.  Though we are all at different places in our faith journey, though we all have different obligations and relationships in our lives, we all have stories to tell and strengths to share, and spiritually we are all traveling in the same direction.

The group will meet throughout the year beginning on various Monday evenings from 7-9 p.m. in Pedata Hall. There are no annual dues, though we do have two special dinners, our Advent Night and Fellowship Dinner, which are open to members and their guests for a fee.

All women are welcome and encouraged to bring a friend!
